Attractively situated in the Westminster Borough district of London, Bower House is situated 800 metres from Victoria Underground Station, 1.8 km from Westminster Abbey and 2.3 km from Big Ben. I’ve stayed in a lot of 2-star inns and hotels in Pimlico and this was by far the best one. Bed was comfortable, towels were big enough, there was an electric kettle with tea and coffee, safe and a hair dryer. The location is of course amazing - 10 min walk from Victoria station and the staff was super nice and friendly. I was in a basement room, but had access to a patio in an inner courtyard, which was a great bonus, since I’m a smoker and didn’t have to go out on the street every time I wanted to smoke. Highly recommend it if you’re on a budget, but want to be close to West End.

In stylish Pimlico, the family-run Melbourne House Hotel is just a 10-minute walk from Victoria Railway Station. The traditional hotel offers free WiFi. We stayed in the family room on the ground floor for one night. The room and bathroom was spotlessly clean and the bed was comfy. The staff were great too. The Manager even prepared breakfast earlier than normal, as we had to leave before the allotted time, so that we could have something to eat in the morning which was a lovely thing to do. It was a really good continental breakfast, lots of choice and proper coffee. Decor-wise, it's not The Ritz but that's reflected in the price. We'd happily stay again. Recommended!
