Decent hotel in the middle of the city close to Shops, Restaurants and ATM + Main Taxi stand. We asked for two rooms for a Family of 5 , they were adjoined and this helped us a lot. Rooms were clean and Air con worked .

Ouarzazate has a very different vibe to many Moroccan cities - maybe because of its heritage of hosting many visiting teams of actors and film makers - exploring downtown is great with the museum of film and the historic Kasbah, with its labyrynth of small rooms and courtyards. Out of town are the Atlas Studios, where you can take a tour of various film sets which have been used, and re-used, for many famous productions. It's also a great base to explore the wider countryside, either eastwards towards the Dades and Todra Gorges, or south towards the desert.

Ouarzazate is a wonderful stop on the way to Murzouga, however it would also be a nice destination. The surrounding desert is beautiful and there are many riads with pools and restaurants perfect for relaxing and unwinding. It was a wonderful place to visit after the frenzied and pushy atmosphere of Marrakesh.

Small city so easy to navigate.
Small city so easy to navigate. Taxi drivers waited for us at out of town attractions. Highlights were quad biking around film sets, hammam spa and eating home cooked food in a Berber village. All arranged by our accommodation.

The city is split into two sections, one where the tourists stay (North - Ouarzazate) and the other is where the locals stay (South - Tabounte)
We loved Ksar Ben Youssef the hotel there, it is in an area where mostly locals stay and there is a good restaurant near it called Cafe Restaurant la Montana where we ate and picked up some shopping from the petrol station shop
We also ate at Nature Food Restaurant and Pizzeria which was very well priced
Travel around Ouarzazate is easy with taxis, they typically charge about 100 Dhs from and to the airport, and about 50 for the inner city stuff (there were 5 of us) I think they charge things like this, 5 Dh + 5 Dh per kilometer per person or something close to that
The touristy area is very clean and built up quite nicely, the locals area is a little more run down but we enjoy to stay close to the locals and see how they live
We had a bad experience at Ecolodge Lile De Ourzazate, although the idea of their place is nice to have an eco friendly place, we found that it was not as advertised in ways which made our stay there unpleasant
Overall our stay in Ouarzazate was good, we visited a place called Ksar Ait Ben Haddou - if you do and its summer make sure you go in the morning or afternoon, because it is very hot around mid day. They also have some studios there and locations where they filmed the movie Gladiator which the locals are very proud of.
If we go back I would like to visit the other areas nearby such as Marzouga 300km away to check out the desert, there is also another area about 200km away which apparantly has nice oasis / lots of palm trees but I cant remember the name

A place with traditional architecture and great historical relevance. The ride to the airport is a short distance. Transport links to Marrakech were easy to locate and local law enforcement very visible and helpful.
If you are trying to decide where to stay in Ouarzazate, this is the place. The owner was the kindest, and all the workers were so sweet, we felt truly like home. Since we stayed stuck in the city and couldn't go back to Marrakech because of the weather, we spent a lot of time in the hotel next to the fireplace. Rooms with balcony, heating. They also prepared dinner for you of you want to and served a delicious breakfast with even more than the commonly offer in other hotels. A real luxury for us with a familiar cozy ambient.
A unique Riad on multiple levels with wonderful small terraces with views over to Ouarzazate. Beautifully furnished with lots of greenery and tiles. It was lovely to be outside of Ouarzazate and in a small dusty village where a short stroll allows you the chance to see games of pick up soccer and children playing in the street. The kindest staff and an exceptional owner, whose advice and suggestions of off the beaten track places to visit proved invaluable. Exceptional breakfasts and dinners.
Beautiful dessert location away from the town. Facilities were tastefully designed in keeping with Berber tradition and set in a lovely garden. The chicken tajine with olives that we had for dinner was honestly the best tajine we ate in Morocco, and the breakfast tajines were also delicious; in fact, the breakfast was exceptional all around. Very helpful staff advised on things to do in the area. Exceptional value.
Warm welcoming, stylish ambiance, cozy dining area, friendly and helpful staff.
I will remember this place with the best Moroccoan Briwat ever tested (especially the one with cheese) and the best bed linens ever slept in. The fabric was gently perfumed, pure white and velvety soft, creating an overall sense of luxury and tranquility, enhancing every moment of relaxation.
Exceptional hospitality and beautiful Riad. Breakfast was plentiful and very tasty, and the Riad offer the opportunity to have a truly home cooked meal there for dinner. We opted for this and it was a great decision!! I think the dinner was the best meal I had the whole time I was in Morocco (and the food is amazing in general!)
Wholeheartedly recommend
Open rooftop. We were told and it turned out safe to park our rental car 2 nites outside the medina. (But in a dark end -of-road parking lot.). You will need to feel safe walking dark alleys; we were but we had been in Morocco for two weeks already and understood/accepted the safety. Good if you accept the adventure side of life.
This was the best Riad we were in all our 7 day trip. It is beautiful, very comfortable and be sure that if you stay here try their dinner - Madame Jamelia cooks very, very well. It was the best Tagine we had in Morocco, with delicious rice.
The area seems very secure, and near the center (however far enough to be a calm place).
Everything was fantastic! The best place we have stayed in Morocco so far. The staff were incredibly helpful. They went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed and more.
There is parking right outside and the rooftop breakfast was delicious.
You can book desert excersions here if you wish.
Very nice riad with beautiful garden/patio near the entrance to Desert or Atlas, if you looking for nice stay near Ouarzazate this is top choice. Personal was very helpful and communicate in both English and French. Wifi was mediocre but it looks like standard in Maroco.
The hotel location is superb, overlooking the oasis. Well equipped terrace with pool and places to sit and enjoy. Staff were friendly. Room was adequate. Ensure you drive across river and not stop for “parking fees” along the way. Free parking at hotel itself.
This place was amazing and so far the best hotel we’ve stayed in Morocco. The staff was super nice and extremely professional, and ensured our stay was pleasant. The facilities are in pristine conditions. The only down side is that we didn’t stay enough time!
The hotel are easy to find, than are side by side national street and than are 1 hour from ouarzazate. So than are clean and friendly staff, Normally breakfast (yam + olive oil + fromage + boiled egg in water) parking out side hotel.
Beautiful courtyard, excellent waiter service and free breakfast. Quality and good amenities, bottle waters in the room everyday, facial tissue, AC, mini refrigerator, etc. this hotel deserves more than 3 stars instead of 1 star.
The staff are very friendly and helpful. Among them Mr. Walid, wahil and Mohammed are really very active and trustable person. I have enjoyed my holiday at Ouarzazate through this hotel.
Rooms are amazing and the bathrooms too. Strongly recommended. The manager of the property is an amazing guy, you can spend time with him chatting and knowing Morocco culture.
The room nr 212 on the first floor at the back of the hotel was quiet and the bed was softer than usual in Morocco. The receptionist is very nice and helpful.
