What an incredible experience this stay was. The staff were phenomenal and the gearing around families is perfect - so many thoughtful little touches that turn a holiday into an unforgettable set of memories. The named placeholder for the kids at dinner, children's seats and cutlery, stories with milk and cookies, rabbit petting, free buckets, crabbing lines and bait, den sessions, so many more than I can mention.
Situated in Fowey, Havener’s Bar and Grill is an inn that offers rooms and an apartment. The unit is 35 km from Plymouth. All five bedrooms at the property feature a coastal theme.

Fowey is a lovely, typical fishing village however it has the usual plethora of second homes, airbnb and rental properties. It’s not too commercial though. Lots of narrow streets and old buildings.
We visited in March and it was lovely, I suspect that in the high season it will get very crowded. A nightmare to drive through!

Classic Cornish small coastal town nestled on the steep western bank of a creek. Full of character and plenty of real local people as well as tourists. Be prepared for a steep heart stopping climb to the central car par if you miss the Town (mini) Bus which appears every 15 minutes.Highly recommend Bufala Italian restaurant/.pizzeria - don't be put off by drab road facing entrance/waiting area. Pintxo tapas bar looked interesting but could not get a seat.

A very idyllic town, by the river Fowey, especially when the sun is out and sparkling on its surface.
Excellent opportunities to walk along the coast, or to jump on to ferries and visit other towns. Some lovely beaches and coves nearby (Readymoney Cove is lovely and at walking distance from the centre) making it possible to dip into the river. Many links to Daphne du Maurier around the area - although Manderley is private (and under a different name) it’s easy to be enraptured by the atmosphere.
Buses are just a couple and not very regular, but it’s still possible to visit the area even if you don’t own a car.
I truly recommend.

A delightful place to visit.
A delightful place to visit. Wonderful swimming at Readymoney Bay.
Good long Beach for strolling at Par Bay a short drive out of Fowey.
The town of Fowey is charming, set on the River. However the steep walk from and up to the upper part of town is a kittle challenging.
Fowey offers a good selection of restaurants and shops.

Lovely location especially Readymoney beach and the shops & pubs.
Little bit challenging getting to accommodation by car, to drop our bags off, as it’s a single road one way system. So if you miss it you either have to go round again or park up and walk back.

A really compact village/town with everything centrally placed, plenty of choice of drinking or eating places.
Only downside is the carparking on the fringe of the town, you would need to catch the town taxi/bus if you have any mobility problems.
Visit Llanhydrock Place the best National Trust property I've ever entered.
Absolutely beautiful cottage bang in the middle of Fowey. The cottage is clean, cozy, beautifully decorated, bright and airy and an absolute joy to stay in. The kitchen is very well equipped with everything you could possibly need. The added extra surprise is the outdoor decked area with amazing view over the harbour where you can sit and catch the rays with sun downers after a days exploring the lovely Fowey. I would'nt hesitate to stay here again and we are already looking when to stay here again. I can't wait to return xxx
Very clean, well appointed apartment. Great location on the edge of Fowey which meant you could easily walk into town and back (or get the local bus back). Also meant you could join the Southwest Coast Path just a short walk away, and also walk the 'Hall Walk' - all without using your car. Apartment is larger than it looks in the photographs with a fabulous view of fields, and sheep. Very quiet location. Two bathrooms. Easy roads to reach the surrounding areas, with lots of lovely beaches nearby.
Beautiful hotel and location. The driveway is fine and not too narrow. Great parking. Easy go get into Fowey and the hotel has an outstanding view of the harbour, especially during regatta with the fireworks. We didn't eat dinner at the hotel so I cannot comment. Pool tables and table tennis. Lovely rooms and verandas to have a drink on. The Spa is pricey but very relaxing and a lovely addition to your stay. Staff very friendly, chatty and helpful. Breakfast staff lovely too.
We had a 1 bedroom cottage with patio, and it was ideal, clean and comfortable with loads of space. A decent size kitchen meant we self-catered for breakfast and lunch, and ate in the hotel restaurants every evening. The food was good and the staff lovely. We had views over St Austell's bay and the large grounds are beautiful, including woodland walks.
Another bonus point was finding you can get a bus from the hotel entrance into Fowey. Reception have printed timetables.
Great views from the bedrooms and bar over Fowey Quay. Excellent staff, extremely friendly, polite and helpful.
Breakfasts were fine with a good options, we also ate in the bar one evening and the meals were good and generous.
There is no parking onsite due to the central location. We parked at Caffa St. car park which is a gentle 10 min walk from the hotel. 24hr parking is very reasonable age £6.50. Suggest you use Just Park app to book.
This FOWEY Harbour Hotel Exceeds All Our Expectations For Everything We Asked For The Cleanliness was top marks ,
Breakfast room and Dining room overlooked the Harbour ,like A Picture Postcard , SO RELAXING . THE FOOD WAS OUTSTANDING The Staff were attentive, Friendly ,WELL LOOKED AFTER. . . PRIVATE PARKING WITH YOUR NAME AT YOUR SPACE . THE LIFT IS OLD FASHIONED WORKS PERFECTLY AND IS LEVEL WITH THE FLOORS
Close to the car parks and just a short walk into the town centre. Modern building in good repair. Had an outside seating area but no view, but as I said you were only a short walk from the local restaurants and pubs. Fowey is one of my favourite locations in Cornwall. Would highly recommend.
This hotel was a really fortuitous find and exceeded expectations in every manner. Charming staff, gorgeous room, excellent food and really dog friendly. We had a great stay and if visiting Fowey again i would not hesitate to stay here again.
We had the most amazing holiday here in Fowey.
The Hotel was in a perfect location. Easy to get to so many lovely villages.
Food amazing! Drinks on the terrace with a stunning view of the estuary was perfect end to the day.
Wonderful stay. Michaela and Ben were excellent hosts. Room was spacious, quiet and comfortable. Excellent breakfast. Fowey is a gem. House is a good walk from the center, but we enjoyed the exercise and the quiet.
The apartment was beautiful, with full facilities for a comfortable stay. It was brilliantly located to make the most of everything Fowey has to offer. Great to have a private courtyard for sitting in the sun.
View from the room was amazing. Location of the hotel was within walking distance (5mins) into town with pubs and restaurants. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Decor of the hotel was superb, very classy.
The bedroom was amazing! We had a king size room harbour view!
Breakfast was delicious!
Staff was really kind!
Will come back there again!
Fowey is a great little place!
Amazing property with three balconies & views over the Fowey harbour and only a 5 minute walk into the centre. Lovely home with everything you'll ever need with parking.
A wonderful old English inn in stunning location overlooking Fowey harbor. Delicious food and great service, friendly bar where you can meet the locals and their dogs!
The hotel has been recently completely refurbished and we stayed in the new building which had been decorated to a high standard and was very aesthetically pleasing
I really like the location and woodlands walk area. The view from terrace was fantastic. The room was quite decent and reception staff were really accommodating.
Really great pub and accommodation, right in the centre of Fowey with a fantastic view of the harbour. Good breakfast and super friendly staff. Would recommend.
