Nice staff, no fuss, had all the basics, quick and easy check in and check out. Very close to bus, tram, and trains.
Midway between central London and Gatwick Airport, Croydon is a shopping haven. Hundreds of stores are found under the glass-roofed Whitgift Centre and the even more modern Centrale complex.
This thriving retail industry is one factor contributing to the town being London’s 3rd most important business area, so naturally it has its fair share of skyscrapers. Also tall is the red-brick Croydon Clocktower, housing the town museum, and attached to the town hall overlooking Queen’s Gardens.
Opposite is Fairfield Halls, a large arts venue behind which run train lines connecting East Croydon Station to London Victoria in one direction, and Gatwick and Brighton in the other. Modern trams also link the town to other suburbs. Croydon used to have its own airport (once more important than Heathrow) and its former terminal is a museum open one Sunday a month.
The town minster houses tombs of some archbishops of Canterbury and their summer residence was Croydon Palace, now a school. Much more famous is the BRIT School which has nurtured musical artists including Adele, Jessie J and Katie Melua.
The Croydon accommodation on Booking.com includes 4-star hotels with pools, guest houses with parking and cheap apartments. In the Borough of Croydon are Addington, home of an opulent palace, and neighbouring Shirley with its Grade II-listed windmill.

I grew up near Croydon and it has changed a great deal, It has good transport and access to shops. It is fairly built up in some areas but has a good community spirit and some older buildings do remain.
Coulsdon is in a more leafy part of the borough and I enjoyed staying in the Coulsdon Manor Hotel.

Everything was amazing but only reason I would not give a 5 star is because the curtains were not black out as advised and their were street lights right opposite window which was super annoying inside door did not lock either so put a chair infront for peace of mind. Staff were attentive, happy, and smiling.

The only small problem I noticed was the taps on the sink.
The only small problem I noticed was the taps on the sink. They were not far enough forward in the bowl, so difficult to get your hands, toothbrush etc under. Also the water therefore run onto the surface instead into the bowl.

I only come here because I have relatives in the city otherwise I would not be seen dead here - mind you, with all the knife stabbings that go on in Croydon, that´s always a possibility. A two word description of Croydon would end in hole!
The staff is friendly, committed and ready to help you. The general vibe of the restaurant is great, and the food (we only took breakfast and lunch) is tasty and a great value for the money paid.
The location of the hotel is great for someone who is comfortable with London public transport. The area has a Costa Coffee nearby, and a supermarket around 10mins walk. It is also 15mins away by bus from East Croydon, a well-linked train station to London (15-20mins).
The bed was comfortable. There was a table and hair perfect for studying, watching TV on my laptop, eating (I brought takeaway dinner), studying etc. Best of all there was a super comfortable Parker Knoll type lounger chair and foot stall. Brilliant touch, so comfortable.
Location is great, lots of buses nearby so east access to East & West Croydon station and Croydon town centre.
Very spacious apartment with great views over London. Very central and in an area with a great transport system. lots to enjoy in Croydon; we particularly liked Box Park. Within very easy reach of London from either East Croydon or West Croydon station and also within easy reach of Crystal Palace Park.
Good breakfast with super service from Manoj which also made the best waffles ever. The hotel is also very near the East Croydon station with fast connection with both central London and Gatwick airport. Also good and clean rooms. Even the extra bed was very comfortable for the third of us.
The hotel and location are great. In the center of East Croydon, 5 min walk from the train station which has a box park. West Croydon Bus station is about 10 mins away. Staff was friendly. Plenty of restaurants around. Coop supermarket is 2 mins away. High Street about 10 min walk away.
All staff very friendly and helpful. Good selection for breakfast which was available all day. Free parking and a location which is very handy for East Croydon Station. From there Central London is less than 20 minutes. Very good value for this area.
Great little hotel. Couldn’t fault the staff or the cleanliness. A lot of people complain about this place, but it’s cheap, comfortable and exceptionally clean. Yes, the rooms are dated and bit worn out, but nothing that would stop me from returning.
The so called hotel is a jail and substandard. Too small room, no cabinet, no lobby, no drop off and pick up area, phone, iron, bath tub, no hangers no space to keep a bag. It’s shameful London allowed such place like easy hotel to exist.
The hotel was clean, smelled great. I felt safe as you had to use your key in the elevator to access your room. The location was good, restaurants and fast food in walking distance. Also lots of shops in a nearby shopping complex.
Love the property. Hotel needs to be finished before it opens. Looks like it’s crumbling. Has lots it’s crispness. I can appreciate what the vision is but there’s a way to go. Liked the bunkbeds and art work happening.
Room was clean with internet, cable tv and a large bathroom. I got a great price on a single bed in sold-out London. Noon plane out at Gatwick so Croydon is great location. Lots of restaurants on high street.
Great welcome, cupcakes in room, spacious, great bed, generous breakfast, good TV and wifi, very near East Croydon train station. Loved the cold rinks (infused water and fresh juice). Above average hotel.
Great location for East Croydon station, town centre and London. The apartment is spacious, very clean and comfy. The hosts are very friendly and easy to contact.
There appears to be a difference between booking.com & hotel with classification of Rooms, it was eventually sorted on 3rd attempt in viewing the bedrooms
