The passion the owners put into it. Great rooms with everything you need. The ocean view is a nice plus. Price quality ratio is just as good as it gets. Loved it!

I have been visiting Montauk my entire life and will continue. Now my grown kids come on their own. A fishing/beach town that has amped up its game..boutiques, 4 star chefs, great lodging. But at the end of the day it is the beach. If you stay in a hotel on the beach side, town is right there & you dont need to ever move your car till you go home! Grab a coffee from the Bake Shoppe, and a wrap from Joni's..wander over and spend the day in the sand & surf. Shop at Land Shark for you sweatshirts or Kai Kai for flip flops, blankets & Ray Bans, head over to Duryea for sunsets & the best salads & lobster dinners..end the night with mini golf & ice cream at John's Drive in. Writing this makes me want to jump in the car and head back there.

Montauk is great. A Wave Inn not great.
Montauk is great. A Wave Inn not great. The rooms while clean are for husband and wife used to sleeping in a tiny Hard bed and 1 kid. I was with my 2 older sons, none of whom wanted to sleep close to each other or me in a tight bed. Therefore I ended up sleeping in the car. Also, to make sure they make up for unsold rooms they have some undesirable tenants living on premises. There is no way to get in tough with anyone who works there after 6 or so. If you have a problem you are on your own. I wouldnt go back there if the room was free.

Motel ran out of pool towels and coffee pods. We had a view of pool and could see the sound too. 👍 Our neighbors were fighting and very loud. Had to drive into town. Nothing walking distance. Ate at the Inlet, one of my favorite places!

We have been going to Montauk for 50 years and this is the first time we have seen so many small shops and restaurants near Gosman’s dock closed. When we asked a local fisherman on the dock what has happened to the businesses he said that the town has gone down. Famous Salivars restaurant is now only open on the weekends etc…
We went to John’s Pancakes for breakfast and it was empty. Anthony’s across the street was packed??

Lovely
very large and comfortable beds and linens, everything is clean, everything is new. lovely large balconies with great views. Good soundproofing - quiet and peaceful. the hotel has a restaurant with delicious food. Very friendly staff. It was my birthday and they welcomed me with champagne and dessert. you can easily get around by taxi or uber to east hampton etc. we also played golf in montauk - the golf course is 20 minutes from the hotel by car. You can also play tennis there. I recommend this hotel!
The property was located at the north end of lake Montauk and my room had a view of the LI sound as it was one of the FEW corner unit with a common balcony. The hotel did have a heated pool that i didn't have a chance to use given the day trips we took. The hotel is located near Grossmans shopping and restaurants - and fishing / boats to Block Island - both of which have LARGE parking lots if you don't stay close by. So no need to really stay in the area.
This really was a gem of a find on our holiday, lovely place with exceptional facilities. They have gone out of their way to turn this from a motel to a boutique style hotel and it works! the communal fire pits were a real treat to and a great way to meet people over an afternoon drink. The breakfast voucher at Bird on the Roof was a great touch too.
We had a pleasant experience and we rested a lot, the room was very clean, everything organized, spacious, we stayed in a room with two beds. The pool space is very nice. Nearby there are places to have breakfast and buy food. Montauk is a spectacular place and our stay here was very good
Loved that we could reserve our beach chairs and umbrellas for the next day - made life so easy! Also loved that we were allowed to make fires on the beach at night with metal tubs. The location was amazing and the house keepers did a great job at keeping our unit sand-free.
The hotel is right on the beach which is perfect especially for city couples like us who come out by train. Towels, lounges are provided along with umbrellas. The hotel is conveniently located in walking distance to various restaurants and shops.
Clean, beautiful hotel and so close to the beaches. The restaurant is good and convenient just a little pricey, but they all are in montauk. We love al the amenities including the pool and tennis courts. Definitely recommend!
the beach was great real close by, got to sit on beach chairs on the beach- room was great- could have used a little more art on the walls but great- location was perfect- right on the beach, right at town
Right on the beach, not too crowded. Nice warm pool. Proximity to town. Very close to supermarket too. Very nice staff. Kitchen in room. Bedding fresh and new. Grills on deck. Great value.
I have stayed at many resorts and the hotel in Montauk for over twenty years. Here at the Haven, the combination of cleanliness and exceptional staff of everyone at any time was great!
The Aqualina was in a perfect location to downtown Montauk and the beach. The hotel was very clean and the pool area was very comfortable and relaxing place to kick back.
