The room was well presented. Nice decor and good facilities such as mirrors and plugs etc. The bathroom was lovely with a great shower. The beds were comfortable. The breakfast cost £16 per person extra but was very nice.

What a find! A well appointed, spotless BnB. We had a very warm welcome and were delighted with the room. Although compact, it was sufficient. Bed comfortable, breakfast fresh and wholesome with local produce. Location is en route to Nidderdale and the Dales, so ideal for passing through. The Gastro Pub across the road offers excellent food and wine in slightly minimalist but tasteful decor. It's quiet and restful, ideal for couples and work trips.

Liked looking around the Cathedral.
Quite a lit of ordinary eateries but we liked Manchega.
If you like real ale go to the One Eyed Rat but it doesn't serve meals.
A number of shops and businesses have closed down and it's much like many towns these days.
It's a fantastic base for visiting Newby Hall, Fountains Abbey, RHS Harlow Carr and Thorp Perrow arboretum.

Ripon is a small city - very small, but it has some charming cobbled streets to explore and, of course, a beautiful cathedral which is well worth a visit. We were lucky enough to hear the choir practising when we stopped in. There are lots of cafes and restaurants in Ripon. On our recent mini-break, we ate at Claro Lounge, Mario's, Oliver's Pantry and The Royal Oak - all located in or near the Market Square - and would be happy to recommend all of them.

Lovely little city with lots if interesting places nearby to, good bus services if you don't want to use your car. A delight to see how proactive the residents are to decorate their city up for the forthcoming d day anniversary, it is a real credit go them. The nightly horn blowing ceremony is very interesting as well

The workhouse, victorian prison and the courthouse were fascinating. Also a beautiful Cathedral, lovely river walks parks. Excellent bus service to Harrogate and surrounding areas, all for £2.00 or bus pass. Nice places to eat and a very pretty little city. Would recommend as once there you don't need a car unless you want to explore further.

Ripon Cathedral was holding a Spring Fayre fundraiser - lots of stalls and a choir festival! There is a Museum walking Trail
There are independent places to eat and one of the larger chains in the market square which suited us!
Unfortunately the Spa Swimming Baths is closed - would've loved to see inside!

Very quaint, olde English city. plenty of history to immerse into ie Cathedral, workhouse, courtrooms etc.
Lots of different place to eat.
Quite busy with traffic thru though. but has a pleasant pedestrianised area with lots of local artisan shops etc. Definitely worth a visit.
The apartment was spacious, comfortable and well equipped with everything needed for a self-catering stay. With a dedicated parking space and located close to the city centre, it made a perfect base for our mini-break in Ripon. Thoughtful touches like towelling robes, toiletries in the bathroom, and a welcome basket of Yorkshire produce all added to the enjoyment of our stay.
A great location for exploring Yorkshire Dales and surrounding areas. Ripon itself is lovely. A very quiet residential area. We could park next to the house. The house itself is very spacious and kitchen is very well equipped. We also enjoyed a great selection of DVDs and books.
A very useful welcome folder with great tips on what to see and where to eat.
Situated in a the lovely village of Sawley , next to the village green and opposite the pub. Very comfortable cottage with all the mod cons ! Dog friendly .Down the road from an ice cream shop and easy drive to Brimham rocks, Fountains Abbey, Masham and Ripon. Owner was easy to contact with questions relating to new heating system.
Absolutely everything. This place is amazing. You do not want for anything. It overlooks the square so we were right on top of the Army day proceedings.
Have stayed in a few places around Ripon for previous Army days and this is,
without doubt, the best and comfiest place I’ve stayed in EVER!
the hosts were very accommodating, we travelled up from Dorset for a funeral and they allowed us slightly early entry. The key safe was easy to locate and use.
The house was located in a quiet street around 15 mins walk from Ripon centre.
Lovely house with everything you need.
Amy was so helpful, welcoming, warm and lovely. Everything a host should be.
It had a real homely feel to it and after 3 nights in various hotels/bnb's this was by far out favourite.
Top marks for comfort, decor, cleanliness and hosting!
Staff were all brilliant, the room had everything you could need...and it was the best breakfast we've ever had in a hotel (and we've stayed in lots of places!) We will definitely stay here again if we're back in Ripon.
Room contained everything you would want, with tea/coffee, iron & board, hairdryer, bath with shampoo etc... Staff were all lovely and very helpful, and the hotel is ideally centred in Ripon
