The Foresters Arms, hotel in Kingston upon Thames

Located in Hampton Wick, Kingston upon Thames, 1.3 mi from Hampton Court Palace, The Foresters Arms features views of the city.

It’s above a pub with a separate entrance but we used the pub as a “lobby” you could drink beer in. Staff was nice. Great effort in decorating to fit the theme. Dark, warm and antlers! Nice view of part of this quaint town out one room on one side of the building. No view from room on the other side.

We chose this because we wanted to visit Hampton Court Palace. After a superb evening meal at our hotel The White Hart we went for a wander over the bridge where we discovered a lively area of restaurants & bars with a great atmosphere. Also found out about a river boat trip that could take us to Hampton Court. We were able to book tickets online for the next day. And a 5 minute walk from the hotel is a train station that takes you to Waterloo.

If you wish to experience the english vibe in Kingston - this is a great place for it. The rooms we got were simple, clean and nice. We alerted the hotel that we plan to come with a pet - and in the room there was a pet pillow, a bowl and some treats for our pup. Dinner and breakfast were great, and there's a very nice vibe in the pub. The hotel is close to Bushy park and Kingston's center and the team were welcoming. Showers and beds - also descent and comfi. Thank you for a lovely brit experience.

Easy check in. Parking at rear. Comfortable and spacious. Massive comfy bed in the main bedroom. Sofa bed is a proper double and very comfortable. Great storage. 5 of us stayed first night and 3 for a second night and it was very comfortable even when at capacity. My daughter lives in Kingston Uni halls nearby, so the location was perfect for us. Easy to get into central London and Kingston but also a nice area with good pubs and places to eat within walking distance.
